Anesthesiologist – No Call, High-Acuity Experience | Fredericksburg, VA

Job description

Join a well-coordinated anesthesia team supporting three dynamic facilities, including a trauma center, a community hospital, and a high-efficiency ambulatory surgery center. This is a full-scope position involving medical direction and solo cases, with opportunities across high-acuity and fast-paced outpatient environments.

📍 Location: Virginia (Fredericksburg area)
📆 Start Date: 10/27/2025
⏳ Contract Length: Ongoing
🕒 Shift Description: Day shift, 5x 10-hour days
📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 50 hours/week
🛑 Call: None
📆 Weekend availability a plus

Practice Model & Setting:
- Medical Direction Model (MDA-to-CRNA ratio 1:3)
- CRNAs practice under general anesthesia scope (spinals and epidurals only; no nerve blocks)
- MDs should ideally be able to perform blocks (e.g., supraclavicular, popliteal) – preferred, not required
- Must be comfortable doing solo cases if requested (deal breaker if not)
- Floating required between 3 locations: main hospital, community hospital, and ASC

Facility Highlights:

- Case types: open heart, trauma, thoracic, OB, ortho, general surgery
- 24/7 coverage: 1 MDA + 2 CRNAs in-house, additional CRNAs on backup call
- Healthy peds, ENT, ortho, bread-and-butter general cases

Requirements:
- Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Active VA license preferred
- BLS & ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years' recent experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be willing to work full-time (50 hours/week)
- Comfortable with both solo and medically directed cases
