New CV Anesthesiology Assignment in Virginia

Job description

We're currently seeking a Board-Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for an exciting locum tenens opportunity in Reston, Virginia. This role offers the chance to support a high-functioning hospital team while contributing to the development of a new Open Heart Program.

This is a full-time assignment beginning in mid-November, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and limited call requirements. If you're looking for a stable locums opportunity in a vibrant metro area just outside Washington, D.C., this could be an excellent fit.

Position Highlights:
Location: Reston, VA (Reston Hospital Center)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (elective cases)
Call: Weeknight overnight call and weekend call rotation (not in-house)
Coverage Type: Scheduled + call required
Duration: Ongoing coverage
Setting: Inpatient, adult trauma facility (Level II/III)
New program: Help grow and support a developing Open Heart program

Case Mix Includes:
Cardiac
General surgery
Orthopedics
ENT
Endoscopy
Urology
Plastics
Podiatry
Vascular
Ophthalmology

Additional Details:
EMR: Epic
Supervision model with some independent cases
Average shift: 8 hours + call
Credentialing: ~45 days
Must be Board-Certified in Anesthesiology
Active VA license preferred
