Anesthesiologist – Locum Tenens – High-Acuity, Broad Case Mix

Job description

Step into a fast-paced anesthesia service at a large acute care hospital. This locums assignment offers a wide spectrum of cases and the chance to practice at the top of your skill set.

Assignment Highlights:
• Case variety: General, ortho, spine, gyn, plastics, cath lab, endo, and more.
• Patient mix: High acuity, ASA I–V.
• Procedures: Providers typically perform their own spinals.
• Schedule: Weekday shifts (mix of 8.5s & 10s), with in-house physician call (including some 24-hr Saturdays).
• Exclusions: OB, trauma, and peds not typically required.
• Environment: Collaborative anesthesia team, supportive OR staff, high efficiency.
• Start date: Immediate; contracts are designed for short-term coverage with ongoing extension options.
• Credentialing: Approximately 90 days.

Ideal candidate: Board-certified anesthesiologist who enjoys a dynamic OR setting, thrives on clinical variety, and is comfortable with in-house call responsibilities.
