Anesthesiologist Needed In Virginia

Start Date: 3/2/2026
Contract Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 50 hours/week
Call: Weekend availability preferred; 12-hour call blocks (7a–7p & 7p–7a)
Coverage: Full-time required

Clinical Details

Practice Model: Medical direction (1:3 MDA:CRNA); CRNAs practice under MD supervision

Scope of Practice:

CRNAs: Spinals and epidurals only; no peripheral nerve blocks

MDs: Blocks preferred (e.g., supraclavicular, popliteal) but not required

MDs must be willing to do solo cases (non-negotiable)

Patient Population: Healthy peds to adult

Case Types: Cardiac, trauma, OB, ortho, neuro (no transplants), ENT, endo, general surgery, vascular, thoracic

Sites:

Mary Washington Hospital (Level II Trauma) – 24/7 OR coverage

Fredericksburg ASC – Outpatient only, M–F, fast-turn cases, blocks required for MDs

Stafford Hospital – Smaller facility, heavy OB, no trauma

Floating required between all sites

EMR: Epic
