Cardiac Anesthesiologist Needed in Richmond, VA

Position Details:

Start Date: December 2025 (flexible)

Duration: Ongoing assignment

Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (preferred)

Shifts: 10s, 12s, and 24s available

Call: Yes — in-house call 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Case Mix:

Full range of anesthesia cases including Cardiac, Trauma, Burn, and Pediatric

Providers must be TEE Certified

Experience managing cardiac cases independently or in supervision required

Facility Details:

Level I Trauma Center

Approx. 466 beds

Collaborative care team model with CRNA support

EMR systems: Expanse, Meditech, Medaxion, Qgenda, Patient Keeper

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Active Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)

TEE Certification required

Must be capable of performing and supervising cardiac cases independently

Experienced providers strongly preferred

Credentialing:

Timeline: 60–90 days

Temporary Privileges: May be requested depending on file and timing

Compensation:

Rate: TBD + Travel & Lodging (pending client confirmation)
