POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking experienced, Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for a locum tenens assignment. This is a high-demand opportunity for providers with at least 1 year post-residency experience (no new grads).

You will perform general, orthopedic, OB, neuro, urology, gynecology, endocrine, and ophthalmology anesthesia, supervising CRNAs while performing independent cases when required.

Number of Openings: 4

MD to CRNA Ratio: 1:4

Privileges: Temporary (30–60 days)

Estimated Privileging Time: 30 days

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain/verify patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients

Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

Monitor patients’ physiological status during procedures

Perform clinical interventions as needed

Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department

REQUIREMENTS

M.D. or D.O. from an accredited College of Medicine

Completion of approved Anesthesia Residency

Board Certification or Fellowship required

Current medical license (VA license can be obtained if needed)

ECFMG/FLEX as applicable

Minimum 1 year post-residency experience

SCHEDULE & SHIFTS

Day Shift: 8–10 hours preferred

Weeknight & Weekend Pager Call: Preferred

Holiday Shifts & Call: Preferred

Overtime: Not expected but offered

No 12, 16, or 24-hour shifts
