Anesthesiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage in Washington

A hospital-based anesthesia program in Washington is seeking one or more anesthesiologists for ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning October 1, 2026. Physicians willing to participate in call coverage will receive priority consideration.

Available weekday shifts include 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Weekend daytime coverage is also available. Remote call includes weekday coverage from 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. and weekend coverage from 5:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Cases include general anesthesia, endoscopy, ENT, gynecology, podiatry, pulmonary, urology, major vascular, cardiology, OB, orthopedics, and outpatient surgery. This is an adult-only practice with no pediatric, thoracic, neuro, trauma, or TEE cases.

The facility uses a medical-direction and supervision model across approximately 13 anesthetizing locations. Anesthesiologists primarily supervise CRNAs and personally perform approximately 10% of cases. Epic is used for documentation.

Candidates must have an active Washington license before presentation, active ACLS, and either PALS or ATLS. Physicians must be board-certified or board-eligible within four years of residency completion. Providers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Credentialing takes approximately 90–120 days, and temporary privileges are not available.
