Anesthesiologist – Locum Tenens – WV

Job description

Hospital Size: 179 beds, 8 ORs & 2 Endoscopy rooms

Team: 1 MD / 1 CRNA on call nights and weekends; 1:4 MD ratio during the day

EMR: Epic

Schedule:

Day shift: 7a–3p

Weekday call: 3p–7a (beeper)

Weekend call: 24 hours (beeper)

Case Mix: General Surgery, Endoscopy, OB, GYN, Podiatry, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics (including total joints)

Restrictions: No cardiac or neurosurgical cases

Epidurals: Performed by MDs; CRNAs may assist if desired

Requirements:

Board Certified Anesthesiologist

Active state medical license

Credentialing timeframe: 90 days

Comfortable working in a supervisory model and performing pediatric anesthesia

• Pediatric-focused practice: healthy children, including procedures on <2-year-olds
• Supervision model with MDs performing epidurals; opportunity for CRNAs to assist with OB/epidurals
• 7a–3p day shifts with weekday beeper call and 24-hour weekend call
