Anesthesiologist Needed in Charleston, WV

Job description

Specialty: General Anesthesiology (prefer candidates that have experience with Peds, OB and Cardiac)

Start Date: June 1st, 2026

Contract Length: June – December (may need some weeks before June but will be more limited available weeks)

Shift Details: 7am – mostly 10-hour shifts, some 8’s and 12’s possible. They will not guarantee any 12’s.
Schedule: 7am start until cases are completed for the day. (As cases are completed and operating rooms running decreases, physicians are released incrementally throughout the day, until assigned call physicians can safely manage the surgical schedule.)

• Call: Providers cannot be guaranteed call at all. There may be times the providers will be asked if they can take call, but no call shifts will be guaranteed monthly.

Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: Approval to add 6 more Anes MD’s
• Patients per day: Varies per site.
• Patient population/age: Adults
• Department description: Will need to be available to cover at the CAMC General Hospital, Memorial Hospital, or Women’s and Children’s Hospital
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: Varies per site.
• Special procedures: Full spectrum of surgical procedures. The only transplant procedures performed are Kidney. (No liver, heart, etc.)

Required: MUST BE WILLING TO SUPERVISE CRNA’s Must be a general anesthesiologist who is able to do Peds, OB, and/or Cardiac.

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Required
• State license required: WV.
• DEA: Required
• CSR: Required
• Certifications required: ABA, ACLS, BLS
• Minimum experience required: 2 years with experience with Peds, OB, and/or Cardiac

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
