Anesthesiologist Needed in West Virginia
Target Start Date: June 1, 2026
Contract Length: June–December (approx. 120 shifts; some limited availability may be needed before June)
Schedule
Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours; call may be requested but is not guaranteed
Shift Structure & Expectations:
Primarily 10‑hour day shifts starting at 7:00 AM
Some 8‑hour and 12‑hour shifts possible (12s not guaranteed)
Workday ends as cases conclude; physicians are released incrementally as OR volume decreases
Call may be offered occasionally but is not part of guaranteed scheduling
EMR: Cerner
Practice Details
Setting:
Multi‑facility float pool across three hospital sites
Hospital‑based anesthesia practice covering a broad surgical mix
Adult patient population
Cross‑coverage required across all participating facilities
Department Focus:
Full spectrum of general anesthesia
Must be able to perform pediatric and OB anesthesia
Kidney transplant anesthesia only (no liver, heart, or other transplant programs)
Mix of personally performed and supervised anesthesia care
Must be willing to supervise CRNAs
Work Expectations:
Provide anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties
Manage cases independently as needed
Rotate across three hospital locations based on daily staffing needs
Support a high‑volume anesthesia department expanding its physician team
Variable daily caseload depending on site and OR schedule
Orientation: Typically 3–5 days depending on staffing and site availability

Wide range of routine and complex surgical procedures
Requirements
Role: Physician — Anesthesiology
Board Certification: Required
License: Active West Virginia license required
DEA: Required
CSR: Required
Certifications: ABA, ACLS, BLS
Experience: Minimum 2 years, including experience with pediatric and OB anesthesia
Additional Requirement: Must be willing to supervise CRNAs
Credentialing Timeframe
Typical processing: 60–90 days
