Job description

This is Kaitlin, Principal Recruiter with Aya Locums. We have a new inpatient cardiology APP opportunity available starting this November, and it will move quickly.

Assignment Details:
• Start Date: 11/10/2025
• Contract Length: 26 weeks (with option to extend)
• Schedule: 3x12s weekly (7a–7:30p)
o Weekends & rotating holidays required (2–3 weekend shifts/month)
• No call
• Setting: Inpatient, non-ICU hospital
• Credentialing: 60–90 days
• Licensing: Willing to license for PA (not NP)

Position Highlights:
• Patient load: 6–7/day, all adult population
• Support staff: weekly rotating attending rounds with APPs
• Typical duties: progress notes, history/physical exams, discharge summaries, consults, new admissions (every other day), multidisciplinary rounds
• May be asked to cover post-cardiac procedure service
• Skills required: ≥1 year inpatient cardiology (or adjacent experience such as cardiac critical care, cath lab, or procedure care). Must be comfortable managing complex inpatient medicine patients and coordinating discharges with ancillary teams.
