This well-established hospital is part of a respected healthcare network providing comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services to the Lexington community. The facility offers an inpatient and OR setting with strong support for surgeons and utilizes Epic EMR for streamlined clinical documentation.

NP/PA - Surgeon - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

• Seeking a certified Physician Assistant proficient in first assisting with CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection cases
• OR duties including surgical CT, vein harvest, and chest tube placement
• Telemetry and ICU duties required in addition to OR responsibilities
• Call duties include 1-2 call days per week and one weekend per month (Friday 7am - Monday 7am)
• Weekend duties include inpatient rounds, procedures, and surgery coverage
• Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift (7am - 7pm) with night call (7pm - 7am)
• Weekend shifts are 24-hour shifts (7am - 7am)
• Patient volume is approximately 1-2 surgeries daily
• PRN/as-needed position with inpatient and OR setting
• EMR: Epic
• Active Kentucky state license required
• Board Certification required
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required
• Must be able to be credentialed at the facility; credentialing timeframe is 90-110 days
• Must be available and able to perform required procedures without restrictions
