Cardiac Nurse Practitioner – Maryland (Shady Grove / Rockville / Germantown)

Contract Length: Ongoing until a permanent provider is hired

Assignment Overview

Join a collaborative cardiac team providing both inpatient and outpatient care in the Greater Rockville area. This role offers a full-time schedule with a balanced mix of hospital and clinic duties alongside experienced MDs and APPs.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Coverage Split: 50% Inpatient / 50% Outpatient

Clinical Details

Inpatient – Shady Grove Medical Center

Caseload: ~10–13 patients/day

Conduct consults and follow-up visits

Develop and manage discharge plans

Collaborate closely with the on-call general cardiologist and APP team

Outpatient – Rockville & Germantown Clinics

Perform nuclear stress testing (9–13 patients/day)

Conduct 30-minute follow-up visits

Handle prescription refills and review diagnostic testing results

Communicate findings and next steps with patients
