Join a high-acuity cardiac team providing critical care coverage for postoperative and cardiac surgery patients.

Assignment Details:

Specialty: Cardiac Critical Care NP or PA

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Maryland (Active MD License Required)

Patient Ages: Adolescent – Geriatric

EMR: Cerner

Clinical Details:

Daily Census:
• Cardiac Surgery: 1–3 patients
• Heart Attack: ~5 patients

Procedures Required:
• Arterial catheter insertion
• Central line insertion

Experience Required:
• Minimum 3 years of CICU experience
• Must have strong background in post-op cardiac surgery and ventilator management
• Experience with “fresh post-op” cardiac surgery patients required
• No heart transplant patients
• No OR time or vein harvesting required

Environment & Team Structure:

MICU manages medicine patients

SICU manages surgical patients (excluding cardiac surgery)

Neuro ICU primarily medical, but may be expanding to take some SICU patients

Certifications:

ACLS (AHA) — Required

BLS (AHA) — Required

Board Certification in Cardiac Critical Care — Required
