Cardiologist needed near Oakland CA. Fall 2025 coverage needed. Travel + Lodging Included

10/01 - 11/30 Leave of absence coverage
Full time coverage preferred, 2 weeks/month will be considered
Monday - Friday
1/2 day Clinic 1/2 day doing NIL readings
1 week/month will be inpt rounding coverage
No call

Work Details:
• Support staff: 6-7 other cardiologists on service, 1 PA, clinic scheduler, on site heart failure clinic staffed by pharmacists, NIL RN, clinic RN
• Patients per day: 8 patients per half day clinic. Most are returning pts. 2-3 returning patients
• Patient population/age: all adult
• Department description: bread and butter cardiology, sees a lot of adv heart failure, multi vessel coronary disease, not a tertiary referral clinic, cardiac surgery not on site - have to send cases out
• EMR: Epic
• Special procedures: no procedures required, potential for transesophageal echocardiogram if providers are willing/skilled

Breakdown of schedule:
Provider will work M-F in clinic for ½ days and then do NIL readings. Generally 15 echos/day and 3-5 stress tests/EKGs

Every 3-4 weeks, provider will need to work 1 week of inpatient rounding from 730-530. This is a teaching service with residents and medical students across different specialties like internal med and emergency med. This facility is a cardiac arrest center and STEMI center, NIL certified, and good quality lab. There are no cardiac surgeries performed on site. Surgeries need to be referred off site. They can do devices on site, but ablations need to be referred off site.
