Job Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday (exact shift hours TBD)
Support Staff: 1 MA, 3 office staff
EMR: Athena (practice), Cerner (hospital)
Daily Census: ~5 patients
Coverage Need: TBD per month
Required Skills
General surgery (Adult, Pediatric, Neonate, Trauma)
1st assist in cardiothoracic/heart cases
Chest tube & central line insertion
PA catheter placement, gastroschisis repair
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Thoracic & cardiac surgery (CABG, valve repair/replacement, lung resections, etc.)
Endovascular & open vascular procedures (AAA repair, fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomy)
Insertion of arterial lines, IABP, TAVR, AICD, permanent pacemakers
Vent management, bronchoscopy, hemodynamic monitoring
Requirements
Board Certification: Cardiothoracic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, or Cardiovascular Surgery
License: Active California license required
Certifications: BLS & ACLS required
Credentialing: Temps available
