Noninvasive Cardiology Locums in San Francisco - Primarily Reading Echos

Contract Length: 6 mo, option to extend
Shift Details: 5x8, M-F
Schedule:
Ideally looking for at least 2 weeks/mo of coverage
Work Details:
We’re seeking non-invasive academic cardiologists with inpatient and outpatient experience. Interest in additional focused areas such as heart failure, arrhythmias, echocardiographic imaging, preventive cardiology, cardiometabolic syndromes or other various areas are desirable. The candidate must be board-certified/board-eligible (or equivalent) in Cardiovascular Disease. The ideal candidate must demonstrate experience in a variety of clinical disciplines in Cardiology. Strong interest in clinical research and/or health care disparities studies will also be considered.
• Support staff: in echo, there’s a team of echo techs, always an inpatient attedning for cardiology available via phone, always an interventional cardiologist on call
• Amount of coverage needed per month: at least 2 weeks/mo of coverage
• Patients per day: about 25-30 echos/day
• Patient population/age: all adult
• Department description:
Level 1 trauma center
Does inpatient and outpatient echos
Does emergent and high acuity echos as well as routine care
Teaching hospital
• EMR: epic
• Special procedures:
TEE
TTE
• Skills required:
Experience working with diverse populations
Bilingual is a plus
Teching experience preferred
Practice Setting:
• Inpatient/outpatient
• Hospital
Requirements:
• Board Certification: BC or BE
• License required: Yes, CA license required
• DEA: Yes, CA DEA with Schedule 2 required
• Certifications preferred: Advanced Echocardiography Level III certification
• Certifications required: BLS
• Minimum experience required:
Must have recent experience reading high volume of echos
Teaching experience STRONGLY preferred
Willing to consider new grads
Experience working with diverse populations strongly preferred
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
