Locum Tenens General Cardiologist – IL/MO Region | Start September 2025
Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or truly Board-Eligible General Cardiologist for an ongoing locum opportunity starting as early as September 8, 2025, or as soon as credentialed. This role is ideal for providers seeking consistent part-time or flexible full-time schedules in a well-supported hospital setting.
📅 Assignment Details:
Start Date: 9/8/25 or upon credentialing
Contract Length: 3 months with likely extension
Schedule: 3–15+ days per month (biweekly coverage needed)
Shift: 8 AM–5 PM with weeknight call and 24-hour weekend call
🏥 Facility & Practice Setting:
Setting: Inpatient, Hospital-based
Support Staff: Nurse Practitioner + Office Admin Team
Patient Volume: 10–30 patients/day
Population: Adult–Geriatric
EMR: Meditech + EPIC
Skills Required: Inpatient rounding, ED consults
✅ Requirements:
Board Certification: Required or truly Board Eligible (ABIM preferred)
Licensure: Active IL and/or MO license preferred, IMLC accepted
DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient cardiology experience
Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days
