Aya Locums is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgeon to provide urgent coverage at a leading Minnesota cardiac center. This assignment offers a robust surgical schedule, complex case exposure, and the chance to support a high-acuity program during a critical coverage gap.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: ASAP (Ideal: Jan 1, 2026; Committee meets Jan 5, 2026; confirmed start Jan 12, 2026)
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–5:00p
• Call Requirement: 1 in 3 call week rotation
• Call Week Structure:
o Day shift
o Overnight 5:00p–7:00a
o 24-hour weekend call
• Scheduling Type: Standard, scheduled + on-call coverage

Work Details
• Case Mix Includes:
o Routine cardiac cases: CABGs, valves (approx. 250 annually), TAVR (~200), Clips (~100), Lead extractions (~35), Aortic aneurysms & dissections, Atrial fibrillation surgery, Carotid endarterectomy, Congenital cardiac procedures, Coronary artery bypass surgery, Esophageal (minimally invasive) surgery, Heart failure surgery, Heart transplant surgery, LVAD implantation, Lung surgery, Minimally invasive & robotic cardiac procedures, Thoracoscopic surgery
• Practice Setting: Inpatient – Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery
• Support Staff: Full cardiovascular OR team, advanced cardiac ICU support

Requirements
• License: Active Minnesota license or IMLC accepted
• Board Certification: Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Surgery
• Experience: Strong background in high-volume cardiac surgery (CABs, valves, standbys, and advanced cardiac procedures)
• EMR: Epic
