NY Cardiology Coverage

Job description

Start Date: Mid-November (Flexible start date preferred to allow overlap with outgoing cardiologist for continuity of care)
End Date: Open-ended

Schedule:
- Full-time, 8-hour workdays (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Half-day clinic followed by inpatient consults and diagnostic reads

Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Cardiology
- Valid New York State (NYS) Medical License

Coverage Needs:
- Ideally seeking support every week of the month

Seeking a Locum Medical Cardiologist to provide physician services to a single physician medical cardiology practice. The role includes both outpatient clinic responsibilities and inpatient consults, along with diagnostic testing and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct 1/2 day of clinic patient visits, 5 days a week (15-18 patients/day with support from experienced scribe and APP)
- Read and interpret:
- Treadmill stress testing
- Nuclear Medicine stress tests
- Echo stress tests
- Holter monitors
- EKGs
- Echocardiograms
- Perform:
- ER/Inpatient Consults as needed (average 3-5 consults/week)
- Scheduled Electrical Cardioversions
- Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
- Collaborate with a strong group of Hospitalists for patient management

MUST BE BOARD CERTIFIED
MUST HAVE NY LICENSE
