Cardiologist Needed in Greensboro, NC | Non-Invasive 2nd Call | Locals Only | No Procedures

Job description

This is a local-only locum opportunity for a general, non-invasive cardiologist at an acute care hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, serving as second call. The commitment is flexible and predictable: a minimum of one week per month plus one weekend per month, and the weeks do not need to be consecutive. Night and weekend coverage runs Monday–Thursday 8:00p–6:00a, Friday 8:00p–7:00a, Saturday 5:00p–7:00a, and Sunday 5:00p–6:00a. The assignment begins in November 2026 and runs approximately 52 weeks, with the option to extend.

The physician provides adult cardiology consults on request and evaluation and management services only — there are no procedures. Responsibilities include reading echocardiograms and nuclear studies performed in the hospital and caring for admitted cardiology patients. Documentation is in Epic.

Candidates should be Board Certified in Cardiology with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience, an active North Carolina license, and an active DEA. ACLS, BLS, and Epic experience are required.
