Non-Invasive Cardiologist Needed in Bellingham, WA | Inpatient | 1:6 Call | Licensure Flexible
Job description
This is a hospital-based non-invasive cardiology opportunity at a 247-bed acute care hospital in Bellingham, Washington. The focus is inpatient, with no outpatient clinic component, though both hospital and clinic privileges are obtained. The schedule is 8-hour day shifts, 7:00a–5:00p, with approximately 1–2 weekday call nights and one call weekend — a roughly 1:6 call rotation. The assignment begins in September 2026 and runs approximately 14 weeks, with the option to extend.
The physician handles inpatient cardiology rounding and admissions for an adult population, seeing an average of 14–16 patients per day. Required procedures include cardioversions and TEEs, at roughly 2–4 TEEs per shift. The role requires the ability to read echocardiography, cardiac nuclear studies, and TEE, and to perform cardioversions; nuclear board certification is not required, but cardiac nuclear experience is needed. This is a solo role, and documentation is in Epic.
Candidates should be Board Certified in Cardiology with a minimum of 1 year of experience, an active Washington license (IMLC accepted), and an active DEA. BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) and Epic experience are required.
