Cardiology Physician – Locum Tenens Opportunity

Location: Charleston, WV
Contract Length: 1 year (minimum)

Position Overview

A major Level 1 trauma center in Charleston is seeking a Cardiology physician for a long-term locum assignment. This is an inpatient-only consultative role with no call, steady scheduling options, and strong APP support. The facility is only reviewing candidates able to commit to at least one year.

Schedule

Shift Length: 8-hour days (start at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM)

Options: Monday–Friday or 7on/7off

No call coverage

Coverage Needed: 2 weeks per month


Clinical Details

Setting: Hospital – Inpatient only

Department: Level 1 Trauma Center

Support Staff: NPs and PAs

Patient Load: ~10 patients per day

Focus: Consults only, no follow-ups

No ICU responsibilities (floor work only)

EMR: Cerner


Procedures/Skills Required:

Cardiograms

Nuclear Stress Testing


Requirements

Board Certification: Required

State License: Required (IMLC accepted; willing to license IMLC only)

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Clean background: Mandatory
