Aya Locums is seeking a General Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in West Virginia. This assignment combines outpatient cardiology with hospital call coverage and offers flexibility for physicians available 2–3 weeks per month.

Assignment Details
Specialty: General Cardiology
Location: West Virginia
Start Date: November 2, 2026 / ASAP
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Coverage Needed: 2–3 weeks per month
Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Call: 24-hour call based on coverage schedule
Nighttime Call Volume: Minimal
Patient Population: Adults 18+
Patient Volume: Approximately 22–24 patients per day
Support Staff: RNs and technicians
Schedule

When covering hospital call:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday: Clinic from approximately 1:00–4:00 PM
Tuesday & Thursday: Full clinic day
Hospital call runs concurrently with the clinic schedule
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluation and management of new and established cardiology patients
Cardiac risk assessments
EKGs and EKG interpretation
Holter monitor placement
Pacemaker checks
Treadmill stress testing
Nuclear stress testing
TEEs
Cardioversions
General inpatient cardiology coverage as needed

Requirements
General Cardiology experience
Minimum 2 years of experience
West Virginia license or IMLC pathway
Experience with EKGs, TEEs, and nuclear stress testing
