Cardiologist needed in Wisconsin willing to license with IMLC

Job description

Coverage Requirements:
Service: Inpatient Non-Invasive/General Cardiology
Coverage Model: Inpatient service with daytime coverage, plus night call
Schedule: 7-day blocks, beginning Monday at 6:00 AM and ending the following Monday at 7:00 AM
Day Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Call Requirements: Includes one weekday overnight (NOC) call and one weekend (NOC) call per 7-day block
Gratis Hours: 2 hours per assignment

Assignment Dates:
Start Date: November 1, 2026
End Date: January 1, 2028

Practice Details:
Support Staff: Care team consists of 1 physician and 3 APPs, with support from intensivists, RNs, and cardiac imaging technicians.
Department: General inpatient, non-invasive cardiology. Provider rounds daily with the APP team.
Patient Volume: Approximately 7–22 inpatients per day
Patient Population: Adults only
EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities:
Provider will manage and interpret general non-invasive cardiology cases, including:
Chest pain/acute coronary syndrome (ACS)
Heart failure management
Hypertension and dyslipidemia
Atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias
Valvular heart disease
EKG interpretation
Stress testing (treadmill, nuclear, and stress echo)
Echocardiogram interpretation
Holter and event monitor interpretation
