Non-Invasive Cardiologist Needed in Madison, WI | 7 On/7 Off Blocks | Long-Term Coverage | 3 Openings

Job description

Start: November 1, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Approximately 60 weeks, running through January 1, 2028 (long-term)
Coverage: Inpatient non-invasive/general cardiology service
Schedule: 7 days on blocks - Monday 6:00 AM through the following Monday 7:00 AM. Day shifts 07:00-18:00, inclusive of one weeknight NOC call and one weekend NOC call per block. 2 hours gratis.
Call: One weeknight NOC call and one weekend NOC call per block
Volume: Inpatient census fluctuates approximately 7-22 patients per day
Patient Population: Adults only
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, Level II trauma - inpatient service model

Support: 1 physician and 3 APPs, plus intensivists, RNs, and cardiac imaging technicians. Round with the APP team on the inpatient cardiology service. Manage chest pain/ACS, heart failure, hypertension and dyslipidemia, atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias, and valve disease. Inpatient ECHO and EKG readings and interpretation. Stress testing - treadmill, nuclear, and echo. Holter and event monitor interpretation. Supervise APPs. Timely documentation in Epic. 3 open positions.

Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Wisconsin license required - IMLC accepted
- DEA required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Must be able to supervise APPs
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Online EMR modules and pre-employment training required before first day
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 90 days
