An outpatient clinic is seeking a counselor for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in West Central Georgia, about 60 miles southwest of Atlanta.

About the clinician's workday

Counselor Needed ASAP. This is a full-time, onsite position, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The provider will be the primary counselor for at C&A population. Time will be split between primary location and second location that is about 35 minutes away. The counselor will need to complete initial assessments for outpatient care after being discharged from client's hospital or Crisis Stabilization unit. 2-2.5 hours for initial Behavioral Health Assessment. The counselor will be responsible for determining outpatient care plan for patient and working with a team of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, and Therapists. May be asked to Communication skills and team player mentality are a must. The clinic uses CareLogic EMR, and credentialing takes approximately 30 days.

• Case load/PPD: 5-8 PPD
• Support staff: Psychiatrists, Psychiatric NPs, LPCs, and LCSWs on-site
• Patient population: All Ages
• Location type: On-Site
• Prescriptive authority required: No
• Shift hours: Full time (40 hours)
• Cases treated: Suicidal Ideation, Suicidal Behaviors, At Risk Youth, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder.
• Initial evaluation time: 2-2.5 Hours
