Join our creative clinical team at Patterns and Threads!

Patterns and Threads is an inclusive psychotherapy practice specializing in clients whose minds - or lives - diverge from what is traditionally expected. Our clients tend to be creative, neurodivergent or are adjusting to an unexpected change in their life’s path.

We are looking for psychotherapists to join our team as part-time independent contractors, with the opportunity to transition to full-time. Part time hours range between 8-12 hours per week. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to focus on clinical work without the pressures of managing a practice or navigating the traditional workplace -- or is figuring out what is next for them professionally.

Our ideal candidate has experience or interest in…
• Clients in creative industries such as art, film, or music
• Neurodivergence
• Therapy across the lifespan - from kids to older adults
• School consultation
• Special needs & general parenting
• A unique specialty or interest you want to develop or implement

Must haves:
• Master’s degree or equivalent in social work, counseling, or psychology
• Active clinical license in Illinois (i.e., LCSW, LCPC, etc.)
• Professional and cyber liability insurance

A plus would be:
• At least 2 years of experience post-licensure
• Already in-network with insurance providers
• Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Lived experience in one of our specialty areas

Other qualifications:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Ability to complete documentation in a timely manner

What you do:
• Provide therapy services, including assessments, individual and/or conjoint therapy services, crisis counseling, and referrals for supplemental services.
• Offer specialty services based on your experience, such as parent counseling, supervision, and consultation.
• Maintain documentation for insurance reimbursement and client progress monitoring, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Communicate with clients, collaterals, practice managers, and outside providers as necessary.
