Job Description: Behavior Clinician
Our Behavioral Support Services are designed to empower individuals, families, and caregivers through a strengths-based approach. We focus on helping each person achieve autonomy, self-determination, interdependence, productivity, and inclusion across all environments, throughout the lifespan.
As a Behavior Clinician, you will provide direct and consultative support to individuals with developmental disabilities, their caregivers, and their support teams. This includes conducting functional assessments, developing and monitoring behavior support plans, training team members, collaborating with medical professionals, and ensuring high-quality documentation and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct functional assessments and gather relevant behavioral data
Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans
Provide training and guidance to families, caregivers, and direct support staff
Prepare and complete timely monthly and quarterly reports
Attend and actively participate in interdisciplinary support team meetings
Present assessment findings and recommendations to psychiatrists and other providers as needed
Conduct site visits to support individuals and their families in home and community settings
Maintain compliance with state and organizational policies and standards
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (required)
Licensure: Eligible for or currently holding licensure in the State of Indiana (preferred)
Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of functional assessments and behavior support planning
Ability to train and coach caregivers, staff, and interdisciplinary team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective collaboration skills and a commitment to person-centered care
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
