Position: Full-Time, School Calendar Year
Location: Fruitport Edgewood Elementary School
(Possible reduced hours/days during the summer, assessed annually)

Hackley Community Care (HCC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Mental Health Therapist or Counselor to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to provide individual and group counseling to students in a school setting, helping them navigate challenges while fostering their emotional and mental well-being.

As a member of our provider team, you'll play a key role in supporting behavioral health services, collaborating closely with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for our students. Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to children and adolescents in a school environment.
Offer consultation and training to the provider team, contributing to overall quality mental health services.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of case activities via electronic health records.
Educate patients in both individual and classroom settings, promoting mental and behavioral health awareness.
Make referrals and coordinate behavioral health services for the provider team.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in behavioral mental health from an accredited school program.
Current, active, and in good standing license to practice as a social worker or counselor in Michigan.
BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
Experience or certification in Play Therapy for elementary school settings is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to foster positive relationships with diverse groups while maintaining confidentiality.
