Dermatologist Needed in CA

I have a client in Oakland, California, who's seeking an experienced Dermatologist for locum coverage. Here are the job details.

Start Date: 1/1
Contract Length: 5 months

Shift Details:
M-Th clinic coverage, split into 8 half days. 8a-12p and 1p-5p
Friday – half day of telehealth coverage doing e-consults. Store and forward format

*No nights, weekends or holidays*

Call requirements:
Provider will work call during the daytime concurrently with their clinic coverage. In general, provider will receive an average of 1 call consult/day. Provider generally will take the consult during the lunch hour from 12-1, or directly after clinic at 5p.


Work Details:
• Support staff: dedicated MA, dedicated rooms, 1 LVN at each site, scheduler on site
• Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, M-F/every week
• Patients per day: 20-25/day
• Patient population/age: all adults
• Department description: mix of general medical derm and complex medical derm
• EMR: EPIC
• Special procedures: basic punch shave, ednc’s, no mohs
• Skills required:
o Experience in teaching facility is a plus
o Spanish speaking skills are a plus

Practice Setting:
Provider will be working predominantly all outpatient clinic, but call consults may be inpatient.

Requirements:
• Board Certification: BC
• License required: Yes, CA – no licensing
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications required: BLS
• Minimum experience required: 1+ year exp

Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
