Urgent Care APP – Locums (Florida)

Job description

Locum Tenens Urgent Care position for an experienced NP or PA in Florida. Schedule is 3x12s weekly plus every other Saturday (9a–9p), with 12 shifts/month required. Coverage includes Thanksgiving and possibly another holiday. You’ll practice independently as the sole provider, supported by MAs, X-ray tech, and front desk staff, with splinting done by staff. Daily census averages 35–40 patients and may peak to 50–55 during winter. High acuity setting with ~1% ER transfers; provider must read their own labs, X-rays, and EKGs. In-house lab includes CBC, CHEM-8, and cardiac enzymes. Codonix EMR. Requirements: Board certification, active FL license, BLS, and minimum 1 year ER experience. Local candidates preferred; travel considered. Client open to temp-to-perm if it’s a strong fit.
