JOB DESCRIPTION

A leading medical center in eastern South Carolina has an opening for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist their team with short-term night shift coverage.

Opening Highlights:

Schedule: 5p-5a, 7 on/7 off
No call required
Patient Volume: 67 per day
Setting: 20-bed ED
No trauma cases
Emergency Department Model: 24-hour MDs and 12 or 18-hour APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible

QUALIFICATIONS

Current, unrestricted, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant active license
Current DEA registration
Master's or Doctoral degree Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited institution.
Board certification
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an Emergency Room setting.
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Be highly collaborative, and enjoy leading care teams with a patient-centric orientation
Confident in his/her ability to deliver high quality primary care, which includes being available to patients and addressing their medical and social needs
