Join a Dedicated Emergency Medicine Team

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative emergency department setting. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a community-focused hospital while working alongside a supportive emergency medicine team in a Level IV Trauma Center.

Position Highlights
Location: Corsicana, Texas
Start Date: September 15, 2026
Assignment Duration: Ongoing/Open
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Work Week: Saturday through Friday
APP Coverage: 10 hours daily
Physician Coverage: 24 hours daily (12-hour shifts)
Annual ED Volume: Approximately 21,000 patient visits
Trauma Designation: Level IV Trauma Center
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): MedHost
162-bed acute care facility serving the Corsicana community and surrounding areas. The Emergency Department includes 14 treatment beds and is supported by a broad range of specialty services, including:

OB/GYN
Cardiology
Diagnostic Imaging
Ultrasound
Orthopedic Surgery
General Surgery
Urology
Rehabilitation Services

Position Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
Perform emergency medical assessments and develop treatment plans.
Collaborate closely with emergency physicians and hospital staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Manage a wide range of emergency and urgent medical conditions.
Perform procedures consistent with scope of practice and credentialing requirements.
Document patient encounters accurately within the MedHost EMR system.
Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current Texas NP or PA license.
Current DEA registration.
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Current ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification.
For Physician Assistants
NCCPA Certification required.

Preferred

Emergency Medicine-specific experience in a hospital-based emergency department.
Board certification where applicable.
Prior experience working in a Level IV Trauma Center or similar environment.

Compensation Details

Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Daily overtime available after 12 hours (based on differential).
Weekly overtime available after 168 hours (based on fixed rate).
