Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Placerville, California!

START DATE July 2025 (specifically July 1-8 needed soon)
CONTRACT LENGTH 6-12 months

• Support staff: MD works side by side with APP’s and has supervision requirements for APP. MD manages all ESI 1-2 and higher acuity 3. APP’s focus on ESI 4-5 and lower/vertical 3’s. APP’s do care for higher acuity patients and have occasional admissions. Specialty Consults (ENT, Ophthalmology, etc.): Cardiology, ENT, Gen Surg, GI, OB, Oncology, Ortho, Peds, Psych, Urology, CC
• Coverage Type: scheduled hours
• Schedule Details: specifically July 1-8 needed soon. Shifts tbd after that
Work Details:
• Facility Type: Hospital - Level 3 trauma - some admitted locally, otherwise transfer to UC Davis
• EMR/Charting Software: epic
• Vaccines Mandatory?: Covid, Influenza preferred
• Avg. Daily Census: 33k annual volume, Avg – 2/hour
• Beds: 24 beds with 9 hall beds available, 125 hospital beds
• Patient Age Group: 15% EMS, 15.22% admitted

Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: Family Medicine Boarded okay, but must have 4 years ED experience
• State License(s): CA required
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS – Family Med Boarded or Board Eligible EM
• Years of Experience Req’d: 4
