ASAP ER Physician Needed in Kentucky

Job description

ASAP Start - needs someone for a full year.

§ No Call. Rotation schedule.

o Training - 2 days of shadow/orientation shifts.

o Needs to know how to - Lines, intubations, chest tubes.

o Will take new grad.

o Emergency Med Privilege's can be awarded but Depends on applicant. (Clean File)



Hospital/unit questions

· Number of beds?

o 211

· Census?

o Billable encounter approximately 70/day

· How many daily admissions?

o 15.5 billable admission encounters

· Are there any consults and if so, how many per day?

o Yes consults, unsure of numbers

· What’s the patient population?

o City has a polulation of 76,000

· Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity?

o Not a trauma center. Accredited chest pain center. Stroke center. Average acuity.

· What does the support staff look like?

o Nursing and Techs

· How will follow up cases be handled? (when applicable- inpatient or outpatient)

o Depends on case.

o Morning, Mid, and Night 12 hour shifts.

· Is call involved?

o NO

o Standard ED procedures.

What are the most common cases the locum will see?
Standard Emergency Medicine visits.
