ABFM Emergency Physician Locums - New Grads Accepted - KY

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum services in Bowling Green, KY. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking for a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with consistent scheduling and long-term potential. Coverage is needed beginning February 2026, with a 1-year contract.

🏥 Job Details:
Setting: 211-bed community hospital with a dedicated 20-bed emergency department

Annual ED Volume: Approximately 40,000 visits

Accreditations: Accredited Chest Pain Center and Advanced Primary Stroke Center

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (morning, mid, and night); no call required

Coverage: 36 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of APP coverage daily

Support Services: Imaging, diagnostics, oncology, and orthopedics programs

📋 Requirements:
Board Certification: ABEM preferred; new grads accepted

Alternate Pathways: FM/IM physicians with Emergency Medicine experience considered (ATLS required)

License: Active state license strongly preferred; open to licensing for exceptional candidates with clean files

Procedural Skills: Must be proficient in lines, intubations, and chest tubes

Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 90 days; name clear process required
