Locum EM Physician – 12‑Month Contract – Shreveport, LA

Job description

We're partnering with a hospital near Shreveport, LA to bring on a Locum Emergency Medicine physician for a 12-month contract starting as soon as you're credentialed.

Schedule options: MD shifts are 7a–6p, 12p–11p, or 8p–7a, with a minimum commitment of 3 shifts per month.

Staffing model: Physicians provide 33 hours of coverage and NP/PA provide 24 hours, with 32 hours per day of MD scribe support.

Volume: Annual visits of 35,000 (~98 patients per day), EMS percentage 10.5%, admissions 13.4%.

Tech & EMR: Meditech Expanse.

Credentialing: You must cross-credential at 4 sites; clean files take about 60–90 days.

Certifications & licensing: Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, with an active Louisiana medical license and DEA.
