About the facility
A respected regional referral hospital in southwest Missouri is seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician for ongoing shift coverage. This Level III Trauma Center has seen significant growth in ED volume and acuity, averaging 60+ patients/day and regularly peaking at 70+. With a newly upgraded ER, real-time diagnostics, and strong hospital support, this assignment is perfect for EM physicians who thrive in fast-paced, well-organized environments.
The facility uses Meditech Expanse EMR and is known for its collaborative care model, including on-site physicians, 12-hour APP coverage, and full nursing/tech support during all shifts. A new Point-of-Care lab system is available for use in the ED.

About the clinician's schedule
• Starting October 2025
• 6 night shifts/month (8p–8a)
• 15–20 day shifts/month (8a–8p or 10a–10p)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Always two physicians on duty, plus APP coverage

Requirements
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM only)
• MO license, DEA, and BNDD – required
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS (if not EM-trained)
• Experience with high-volume EDs preferred
• No late-career or post-retirement candidates
• Vaccination required unless exempt
