Freestanding ED/Urgent Care | Travel Opportunity | Long-Term Assignment

Ready to combine your emergency medicine skills with a chance to explore the sun-soaked beauty of the American Southwest? We’re seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a high-functioning team at a brand-new freestanding Emergency Department/Urgent Care hybrid in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This is your chance to practice in a modern, lower-acuity ED environment while enjoying the vibrant culture, cuisine, and outdoor adventures that New Mexico is famous for.

Position Highlights:

🕒 Shifts Available 7 Days/Week

Day Shift: 7a–7p

Night Shift: 7p–7a

Long-term assignment – stability & flexibility combined!

🏥 Two State-of-the-Art Facilities

Site 1: 20 ED beds + 4 triage bays

Site 2: 14 ED beds + 2 trauma beds

Dedicated fast track (2 rooms) for lower acuity patients

Modern design with full nursing, tech, and scribe support

👨‍⚕️ Low Volume + Strong Support

Projected 140 patients/day across both sites

Single physician coverage with 48–60 hours of APC support daily

You’ll see <2 patients per hour – breathe easy while delivering quality care

EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

Board Certified in EM preferred; BC in FP or IM with 3,000+ hours in EM accepted

No new grads, please

Active NM license strongly preferred – licensure assistance available

BLS, ACLS, PALS required

DEA & NM CSR needed
