Job Description: Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves handling general emergency medicine cases, including Level IV Trauma, in a 12-bed Emergency Department. The patient volume is relatively low, ensuring quality care and manageable workloads.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of emergency medical conditions.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Hospitalists, and nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

Schedule & Weekly Hours:
- 12-hour shifts with a maximum of 7 consecutive days.
- If a provider works 7 consecutive days, the following 7 days must be off.
- Flexible shifts based on provider availability.
- Medical Scheduler will contact providers with open schedules 2-3 months in advance to fill shifts.
- Finalized schedules will be sent to providers for the upcoming 3 months.

On-call/Callback:
- Not applicable.

Compensation:
$153hr


Types of Cases/Procedures:
- General emergency medicine cases.
- Level IV Trauma.

Patient Volume:
- 12 beds in the Emergency Department.
- Day shift: 12 patients or less per 12-hour shift.
- Night shift: 7 patients or less per 12-hour shift.

Department Staff:
- 6 full-time providers.
- Supported by Nurse Practitioners, Hospitalists, and nursing staff.
