Emergency Medicine Physician – Locum Opportunity in Rhode Island

Assignment Overview:
We’re seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a locum opportunity at a Level III trauma and nationally recognized Certified Stroke Center in Rhode Island.

Position Details:

Shifts: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Advanced Practice Provider Coverage:

7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

1:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Additional Support: Night scribe coverage (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)

Annual ED Volume: Approximately 39,700 visits

Trauma Level: III (trauma cases transferred to Providence, RI)

EMR: Epic

Requirements:

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required)

**WILLING TO LICENSE** Active or IMLC-eligible Rhode Island medical license

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Certification (free online course available)

Credentialing:

Typical timeframe: 45–60 days
