Emergency Medicine Physician – Locum Opportunity in Rhode Island

Assignment Overview:
We’re seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a locum opportunity at a Level III trauma and nationally recognized Certified Stroke Center in Rhode Island.

Facility & Practice Details:

Trauma Level: III

Annual ED Volume: ~39,700 visits

EMR: Epic

Stroke Center: Certified, with trauma cases transferred to Providence

Advanced Practice Provider Coverage:

7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.

1:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.

Additional Support: Dedicated night scribe (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.)

Schedule:

Physician shifts: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Requirements:

ABEM board certification (no exceptions)

ACLS, BLS, and PALS

NIH Stroke Certification (free online course available)

Rhode Island license required (open to IMLC-eligible candidates)

Credentialing:

Estimated 45–60 days
