PRN ER Assignment in South Carolina for ABEM Physicians

Board Certified – Emergency Medicine
December 24, 27, 31 [ 10a-10p]
Will have ongoing needs starting FEBRUARY
Licensed – SC Medical, SC Controlled Substance, and DEA
ED On Site Coverage needed
Volumes average around 1.5 patients per hour.
The ED is fairly new (built within the past few years) and has 19 ED beds, 2 Resuscitation Bays, and 3 Behavioral Health rooms
ED Physicians MUST be VERY comfortable with procedures, a high risk ED, and working alone. After 10 pm at night the ED Physician will be the only ED Physician on site until 7 am the next morning.
Please also note that this assignment is at a small rural facility, with only General Surgery, Ortho, and Hospitalist backup
Procedures include, but are not limited to: fracture reductions, central lines, art lines, managing ventilators, etc.
Physician will also be required to cover all inpatient codes
EMR System - EPIC
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible – Emergency Medicine
South Carolina Medical License
Active CSR
DEA that can remain permanently registered in the state of South Carolina
Average Daily ED Volume: 58-60
Locum provider should expect to see around 2 patients per hour
2 Physicians on during the day and 1 at night
No APP support
Must be comfortable with all EM procedures
Must also be comfortable with all ages
Must be comfortable working at a rural facility

• 12 hour shifts available
