Emergency Medicine Physician – Locum Tenens

Job Summary

✓ Seeking 2 full-time locum physicians
✓ Start ASAP, as soon as credentialed
✓ Emergency/temporary privileges available
✓ Ongoing need through 2027
✓ Emergency Department setting
✓ EPIC EMR
✓ Support from RNs
✓ Broad spectrum of emergency conditions with mostly medical cases, low trauma, and medium-to-high acuity
✓ Approximately 8–14 patients per day
✓ Approximately 8–14 admissions per day

Schedule

✓ Full-time coverage
✓ Provider must be flexible and willing to work varied shifts based on facility needs
✓ Ideal availability: approximately 2 weeks per month / 15 shifts ongoing
✓ Some holiday coverage required
✓ Specific upcoming shifts include:

✓ Sept 9–10: 6p–3a
✓ Oct 17–18: 11a–8p
✓ Nov 14: 11a–8p
✓ Nov 20: 7a–4p
✓ Nov 25: 6p–3a
✓ Nov 29: 7a–3p
✓ Dec 5–6: 11a–8p
✓ Dec 13: 11a–8p
✓ Dec 17: 6p–3a
✓ Dec 20–22: 11a–8p
✓ Dec 24: 7a–4p and 2p–11p
✓ Dec 25: 2p–11p
✓ Dec 27: 7a–3p
✓ Additional ongoing dates TBD

Shift Structure

✓ Mid: 11a–8p daily
✓ AM: 7a–4p Monday–Friday; 7a–3p weekends
✓ PM: 2p–11p Monday–Friday; 3p–11p weekends
✓ Future night coverage may include 6p–3a or 10p–7a shifts

Responsibilities

✓ Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency patients
✓ Provide high-quality emergency medical care
✓ Manage a broad range of emergency conditions
✓ Coordinate care with physicians, consultants, hospitalists, and other teams
✓ Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication
✓ Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

✓ ABEM/AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible required
✓ Emergency Medicine residency/fellowship requirements required
✓ Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
✓ Active Washington license required
✓ IMLC not accepted
✓ Clean background and malpractice history
✓ ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA required
✓ Must be available for some or all listed dates
✓ Must be willing to work varied shifts based on facility needs
