The facility features a 15-bed emergency department with strong provider support and consistent patient volume, offering a well-rounded and dynamic clinical environment.

Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine coverage at a regional hospital in the Northwoods of Wisconsin
• Primarily single coverage model with some shift overlap and double coverage alongside two APCs
• 17-23 patient encounters per shift with an approximate 20% admission rate
• Over 20 shifts per month available with flexibility in the number of locum providers
• Must have a clean NPDB/file - only clean history providers will be considered
• Board certified in Emergency Medicine required
• Active Wisconsin license or IMLC required to be considered
• Local or Midwest-based providers strongly preferred to minimize travel disruptions during winter months
• Required certifications include ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Level 4 trauma facility
• Newborn deliveries are received in the ED and an L&D department is on site
• 24-hour support services available including Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, OR, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60-90 days
• Nearest airports are Rhinelander Airport and Central WI Airport
• Lodging available at Holiday Inn Express at Aspirus corporate rate
