Endocrinologist Needed in Mount Vernon, IL | Outpatient Clinic | 2 Weeks/Month, No Call

Job description

Start: August 31, 2026 or September 8, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks — running through December 11, with option to extend
Coverage: Outpatient endocrinology clinic
Schedule: 2 weeks per month, Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p (last patient scheduled at 4:15p). Example weeks: 8/31–9/4, 9/8–9/11, 9/28–10/2, 10/5–10/9, 10/26–10/30, 11/2–11/6, 11/30–12/4, and 12/7–12/11. Ongoing need — provider can select weeks beginning in January.
Call: No call
Volume: 12–15 patients per day
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital — outpatient endocrinology clinic; EMR Epic
Support: Solo physician with one APP, plus RN, diabetes educator, and dietitian
Common Conditions: hyper/hypothyroid, Graves disease, thyroid nodules, pituitary issues, diabetes. Can perform FNA.
Travel: Airfare, hotel, and rental car or mileage billable.

Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine with Endocrinology fellowship required
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
- Illinois license required
- DEA required
- CSR required
- BLS required
- Epic experience required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
