Endocrinology Locum Opportunity – Virginia
Job description
Schedule & Contract:
Full Time: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (first patient at 8:20am)
6-month locum contract
18–20 patients per day (20 min follow-ups, 40 min new patients)
Call coverage every 3–4 months (if on call, no clinic patients)
Credentialing process ~120 days
Endocrinologist Responsibilities:
Analyze and evaluate patient medical histories for signs of hormonal imbalances
Advise, order, and interpret tests
Discuss diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle changes with patients
Conduct follow-ups, monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and update patient records
Support patients with complex endocrine conditions and their families
Participate in research and stay current on developments in endocrinology
Requirements:
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Eligible in Endocrinology
Experience managing Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes patients, including insulin pumps
Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient with computers and medical equipment
