Endocrinologist – Locum Tenens Opportunity in Virginia
Job description
Start Date: December 1, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (first patient at 8:20 AM)
Contract: 6 months | Call: Every 3–4 months (details in interview)

Shift Type: Day; Standard 5×8s (8:00–16:30)
On-Call: May be required every 3–4 months (discuss during interview)
In-basket Support: Assist with monitoring in-baskets as part of clinic workflow
Credentialing: ~120 days
Responsibilities
Evaluate/manage Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes and full spectrum endocrine disorders
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostics; adjust treatment plans and medications
Provide education on lifestyle, medications, and prevention; document thoroughly
Conduct follow-ups, monitor progress, and coordinate care with the team
Requirements
MD/DO; Board Certified or Eligible in Endocrinology
Comfortable managing insulin pumps and complex diabetes care
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient with EMR and standard clinic equipment
