Physician Assistant – Gastroenterology need in New Mexico (Locum Tenens)

Location: New Mexico
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Ongoing

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Friday schedule typically ends by noon

Practice Details

Coverage Type: Scheduled hours (no call)

Support Staff: 4 Gastroenterologists, 2 Medical Assistants, 1 Scheduler

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Patient Population: Adults, 18+ (high volume Hepatitis C population)

EMR Systems: Epic, Synapse, Dragon Speech

Responsibilities

Conduct outpatient GI consultations and follow-ups

Perform workups for EGD, Colonoscopy, and other GI-related concerns

Collaborate with GI physicians performing procedures such as:

EGD

Colonoscopy

Manometry

Bravo

Small Bowel Capsule studies

Fibroscan

Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

Requirements

Active New Mexico PA license

BLS certification

GI experience preferred
